Convulvulus arvensis is a perennial rhizomatic vine native to Europe and Asia. It can climb up to 1 meter by twisting around the stems of other plants in a counter-clockwise direction. Phytochemical studies of this species indicate cytotoxic activity on cancer cells in laboratory settings through a potent anti-angiogenesis effect, as well as stimulating the immune system.
